Mandy Moore disappointed over This Is Us Emmy snub

Singer and actress Mandy Moore has voiced her disappointment after This Is Us was snubbed in Emmy Awards nominations.

The beloved NBC series only managed to score one nomination in the outstanding original music and lyrics category for the song Day Of The Wedding / Song Title: The Forever Now—written by Moore’s husband Taylor Goldsmith—and the lead star is not happy.

Taking to her Instagram story as soon as the nominations came out, the 38-year-old congratulated her husband on scoring the nomination, while also addressing the tv series being treated unfairly by the Awards.

“Do I wish our show was recognized in what I think was its’ finest hour? Sure,” the multi-hyphenate star wrote in a statement.

She went on to appreciate the cast and crew for their incredible efforts that brought the heartfelt show to life.

“And Dan Fogelman's brilliant writing for 6 seasons (hello THE TRAIN)? @kenolin1's impeccable direction? Our insanely, wildly talented cast and crew? Yah [sic]...."

"But nothing can take away what our show meant to SO MANY (us included)," she added.

"That's an incredible legacy to be a part of. I will be grateful forever. #thisisus”

Running for six years, the show marked its sixth and final season this year and starred big names including Milo Ventimiglia, Sterling K. Brown, Justin Hartley, Mandy Moore, and more.
