Victoria's Secret hires Priyanka Chopra and Megan Rapinoe as new spokeswomen

America’s popular clothing and lingerie brand Victoria’s Secret has taken a step towards rebuilding their brand by hiring the globally famed star Priyanka Chopra-Jonas and American soccer player Megan Rapinoe as its new spokeswomen.

With a vision to broaden the market and distance itself from its previously built and heavily-criticized image of traditionally rail-thin models, the fashion brand has teamed up with Chopra and Rapinoe, as per Page Six reported.

The lingerie brand announced on Wednesday that it has rebranded by launching two new initiatives: The VS Collective and The Victoria's Secret Global Fund for Women's Cancers.

The Victoria's Secret Global Fund for Women's Cancer will donate "at least $5 million annually to examine and address racial and gender inequities and unlock new innovations that improve cancer outcomes for all women," per the press release.

To diversify the brand, the VS Collective is introducing “leading icons” and “change makers” to promote their brand.

The athlete and Bollywood starlet will not be joining the company as models for the brand’s racy briefs, but as per the report, they have been roped in as spokeswomen and will appear on a 10-episode podcast where they will market materials for VS.

Chopra and Rapinoe will be joined by Sudanese-Australian model Adut Akech, freestyle skier Eileen Gu, Brazilian transgender model Valentina Sampaio, plus-size model Paloma Elesser, and journalist Amanda de Cadenet.
