One direction fans, queue up! Because there might be a chance of a reunion of the band happening soon.

The most famous boy band— One Direction’s alum Liam Payne opened up about his friendship with former bandmate Harry Styles. During a live chat on his official Instagram on June 2, Liam hinted casually that the possibility of a reunion is not too far-fetched.

While answering questions from the fans, the Familiar singer addressed the question about if he is still in touch with the Grammy-Award winner Harry Styles.

“Yeah, I did speak to Harry, and it was really lovely,” Liam recounted. “He called me because he has a sixth sense for if I’m struggling or if one of us is in trouble, I feel like.”

“I spoke to him and it was a really lovely catch up actually,” he continued. “And I’ve got a lot of love for the man. He’s great, he’s really, really great.”

Liam and Harry, along with Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik came together to make their boyband in 2010. After releasing four albums together, Zayn left the band in 2015. Following Pillowtalk singer’s departure, the remaining four released another album called Made In The A.M in 2015.

After that the boys went on their solo ventures, each making their own music. However, the fans have not lost hope for a reunion even after 5 years.

“It’s hard in this position sometimes, you’re watching people’s stories from afar that you used to know so well,” Liam said while talking about his friends’ solo careers. “That can be difficult when you feel like a piece of you is missing with them at that point I guess. And I think we’ve all felt this at different times, me and the boys.”

When asked about converging their paths for a reunion, Liam said, "I'd love for us to get in a room at some point," he shared. "I think it would be the best thing."

"We've all said it outside but we've just not said it to each other," he continued, adding to the anticipation. "There's a song in there somewhere. Somebody write that down!"
