The British-Zimbabwean actor Regé-Jean Page, who gained overnight success with the release of Netflix’s biggest hit series Bridgerton has made his debut on one of the most popular show, Saturday Night Live (SNL).

The 31-year-old actor hosted the SNL episode on Feb 20. and opened the show with a great monologue. “You probably recognize me from Bridgerton…it’s a bit of a racy show and because of that people may associate me with being this smoldering, sensual smoke show. But I assure you, I’m just a regular guy.”

Page has ultimately become the heartthrob of millions with his stellar performance in the Netflix show. He went on to say, “And I’m here to show you a good time. To have fun together. To explore each other.” He was also joined by Aidy Bryant and Chloe Fineman.

Fineman hilariously appeared dressed as Phoebe Dynevor‘s character Daphne Bridgerton. Page stunned to see her asked, “Please tell me you aren’t dressed as Daphne, my love interest from Bridgerton.” He also added, “people just want me to be this guy that says, ‘I burn for you.'”

He also appeared as his character Simon Basset, the Duke of Hastings, from Bridgerton to rehearse an intimate scene with Fineman dressed as Daphne.

"I burn for you Daphne," Page reenacted his famous dialogue. "And cut! Oh my gosh, guys amazing. Such passion, that was great," said the director portrayed by SNL star Kate McKinnon.
