Tom Holland recently discussed relationship goals with The Odyssey costar Matt Damon amid his marriage news with Zendaya.
The English actor sat with Damon for Complex’s GOAT Talk, reflecting on different relationship dynamics, while promoting their epic movie directed by Christopher Nolan.
During their conversation, Holland asked The Martian actor about giving any relationship advice who seemingly confirmed his marriage to the Euphoria star in his earlier interview with Access Hollywood.
“Every relationship works differently,” said Damon, “and you don’t want to sound like a jackass.”
The Good Will Hunting actor noted that people should not take their own relationship for granted.
“I think you're asking for trouble down the road. Instead, he lives by one piece of advice a friend gave him,” he continued.
Citing his friend, Damon suggested, “Under promise, over deliver.”
“And I decided a long time ago I'd rather be happy than right,” remarked the 55-year-old.
However, Holland shared his viewpoint on how to maintain a long-lasting relationship.
“If there's one lesson he does stand behind, it's this: ‘Communication is key,’” explained the Uncharted actor.
Holland added, “How quickly you can communicate is how quickly you can repair.”
