Reese Witherspoon breaks silence on bond with 'Legally Blonde' co-star

Reese Witherspoon has praised longtime friend and actress Alanna Ubach, saying their bond has remained strong for decades.

The pair first worked together in Freeway in 1996, later reunited for Legally Blonde in 2001, and recently appeared together again in Apple TV+'s Lucky, produced by the 49-year-old actress.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the premiere of the crime thriller on Tuesday, she said,

"Alanna Ubach is my girl. We've known each other since way back. Before we did Legally Blonde, we did a movie called Freeway together. And she’s my girl. I love her."

The Oscar-winning actress also praised the Euphoria star's talent, adding, "Love her in Euphoria. She’s always got my back. We just love each other."

For the unversed, the actresses played close friends in both Freeway and Legally Blonde.

Last month, Ubach also expressed interest in returning for Legally Blonde 3, saying, "I'm there," if the opportunity comes.

Meanwhile, the first two episodes of Lucky, starring Anya Taylor-Joy, are now streaming on Apple TV+, with new episodes releasing every Wednesday.
