Reese Witherspoon brutally roasts Jennifer Garner in viral video

Reese Witherspoon has playfully taken aim at best mate Jennifer Garner, joking that the America’s sweetheart actress may not be quite as angelic as fans believe.

The 49-year-old actress sent Instagram into meltdown on Sunday after sharing a tongue-in-cheek skit that hilariously mocked Garner’s wholesome public image.

Sitting casually in a living room, Reese asks someone off camera, “You’re not recording, right?” before launching into what sounds like a serious rant.

“Okay. Jen Garner is just so hard to work with,” she says deadpan, only for the camera to pan across the room and reveal the 53-year-old actress calmly chatting on the phone to Reese herself.

Not missing a beat, the Legally Blonde star leans into the joke, teasing that while the world sees the Elektra actress as “this nice lady from West Virginia” who makes homemade Pop-Tarts and dotes on her three children, there’s more lurking beneath the surface. 

“She’s got a dark side,” Reese laughs. “I don’t know what it is, but she has it.”

The mock feud escalates when she claims Garner is late for their call, quipping, “Like my time doesn’t matter,” prompting a swift comeback from the 13 Going on 30 star: “Boss lady never misses a call.”

Moments later, Reese realises she’s been caught out, discovering Garner has tried calling her twice. “Oh! She tried me twice!” she laughs while checking her phone.

The Morning Show actress captioned the clip, “I love you, @jennifer.garner,” with Garner firing back, “A thousand pardons for keeping you waiting, Queen!”

Apart from this, the Peppermint actress returns in season two of The Last Thing He Told Me on Apple TV+ from February 20, produced by Reese’s Hello Sunshine.
