Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s lavish wedding celebrations have become the talk of Hollywood, with former WWE star Pat McAfee revealing that Avril Lavigne delivered a surprise performance of her iconic hit Sk8er Boi during the unforgettable evening.
Pat, who attended the star-studded ceremony with his wife, let slip on The Pat McAfee Show that Avril was among a string of famous musicians who entertained guests.
He admitted he may have been the first to reveal the secret, saying the 41-year-old singer was “awesome” as she performed the pop-punk anthem.
The sports personality also shared that rock legend Stevie Nicks took to the stage, with Taylor herself joining in.
According to Pat, the performances felt completely spontaneous, with one artist simply calling up the next, creating a relaxed atmosphere despite the event’s extraordinary scale.
Describing the celebration as “the most spectacular evening” he had ever experienced, the former NFL star praised the couple for putting together what he called an unforgettable night.
He explained that guests had been asked not to use phones or take notes, meaning the memories of the celebration remain largely private.
He was equally full of admiration for the Lover singer, calling her “one of the greatest creators” in the world and suggesting the same imagination behind her record-breaking stadium tours was poured into planning her dream wedding alongside Travis.
He also hit back at critics who questioned the extravagant ceremony, insisting the event itself was flawless.
While acknowledging some people had voiced concerns over the scale of the celebrations, Pat said he and his wife were simply grateful to be invited.
