Mel C has brushed aside fresh rumours of tension within the Spice Girls.

The 52-year-old singer insisted that the iconic girl group remain close despite speculation over an apparent social media snub involving Geri Horner and Mel B.

Speaking at the Nordoff and Robbins Silver Clef Awards, she reflected on the band's emotional milestone as they celebrated 30 years since the release of Wannabe

She insisted the five stars are still in regular contact and continue to support one another.

"It was a very emotional day," Mel C said, adding that all the Spice Girls are "in touch" and remain grateful for everything they've shared over the past three decades.

The comments come after fans noticed Geri tagged every former bandmate in an Instagram tribute except Mel B, sparking fresh whispers of a fallout.

The pair no longer appear to follow each other on the platform, fuelling speculation that their famously rocky friendship may have hit another bump.

Mel C recently admitted that whenever Geri and Mel B clashed during the band's heyday, the entire group felt the impact.

Speaking on The Louis Theroux Podcast, she described the outspoken pair as the group's natural leaders, explaining that disagreements between them often created tension for everyone else.

The songstress also looked back on one of her own lowest moments with the band, revealing she feared her Spice Girls dream was over after a drunken disagreement with Victoria Beckham at the 1996 BRIT Awards.
