Robbie Williams brought music and football together as he headlined the pre-match entertainment at the 2026 FIFA World Cup final, delivering a high-energy performance before Argentina and Spain faced off for football's biggest prize.

The British singer performed at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey alongside Nicole Scherzinger and Italian star Laura Pausini as part of FIFA's closing ceremony celebrations.

The trio performed Desire, the tournament's official anthem, in front of a packed crowd before kick-off.

Williams, who was named FIFA's official music ambassador, took centre stage during the spectacle, which also featured appearances from actor Tom Cruise, Jennifer Hudson, internet personality IShowSpeed and rapper Post Malone.

According to Daily Mail, the elaborate ceremony transformed the stadium into a concert venue before attention shifted to the final on the pitch.

The entertainment continued after the opening whistle, with FIFA introducing its first-ever World Cup final halftime show.

Curated by Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, the star-studded lineup included performances by Justin Bieber, Madonna, Shakira, BTS and Burna Boy in a Super Bowl-style production supporting the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund.
