Brooklyn Beckham watches World Cup final from home

Brooklyn Beckham was notably absent from the 2026 FIFA World Cup final as his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, attended the showpiece event at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey alongside their children Romeo, Cruz and Harper.

Instead of joining his family in the stands, the 27-year-old appeared to watch the Argentina-Spain clash from the comfort of his home, sharing glimpses of the match on social media while millions tuned in to football's biggest night. 

His absence came just weeks after he starred in a DoorDash advertisement that many viewed as a subtle reference to his reported rift with his parents.

In the advert, Brooklyn joked that he was watching the World Cup from his sofa despite having tickets, adding that the reason was "a long story." 

According to Daily Mail, the campaign quickly fuelled speculation that he was alluding to his strained relationship with the Beckham family.

Meanwhile, David Beckham continued to be one of the tournament's most recognisable celebrity faces, attending several matches with Victoria and their younger children while also appearing in multiple advertising campaigns throughout the competition.

Brooklyn has largely stayed away from recent family gatherings, including several high-profile events, prompting ongoing reports of tensions between him and his famous parents.
