Miss Universe Jamaica mourns death of 2024 contestant LaToya Malcolm

The Miss Universe Jamaica organization has announced the death of former contestant LaToya Malcolm, who competed in the 2024 edition of the national pageant.

In a statement shared on Instagram, the organization expressed its grief over Malcolm's passing and honored her memory with a heartfelt tribute.

"We mourn the passing of MUJ alumna LaToya Malcolm, who proudly competed in the 2024 Miss Universe Jamaica Competition," the statement read.

The organization also extended its sympathies to Malcolm's family, friends, and loved ones during the difficult time.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends, and loved ones," the post continued.

Concluding the tribute, Miss Universe Jamaica wrote, "Rest peacefully, LaToya. You will never be forgotten."

According to Daily Mail, the announcement prompted an outpouring of condolences from followers, pageant supporters, and members of the beauty pageant community, many of whom shared messages of sympathy and remembered Malcolm with heartfelt comments.
