Katy Perry reveals why Justin Trudeau is her 'saviour'

Katy Perry has opened up about the time when she was suffering, but it all got better because of one person.

The American singer is currently dating the former Prime Minister of Canada and says that he has changed her life.

Opening up about the impact her latest lover has made, the pop star shared her opinion on love.

During a candid conversation on Unfamous podcast, the Roar hit maker gushed, "I have love in my life now that's transformed me,"

The 41-year-old revealed her opinion, "You think that when The Beatles say "all you need is love" it's a cliche, but cliches are cliches for a reason."

Crediting therapy and meditation, she confessed that beside her new lover, it was also a reason she was able to move on from the tragic heartbreak.

It is to be noted that Katy ended her 9-year engagement with old flame, Orlando Bloom, in June 2025 and soon after, she was seen with the politician in October 2025.

Notably, in the very same "tough" year, the songwriter faced back-to-back disappointments as her music flopped following her breakup with her baby daddy.

For the unversed, Katy welcomed her six-year-old daughter, Daisy, with Orlando in 2020.
