Pop superstar Katy Perry and former Justin Trudeau are proving that love knows no borders.
The 41-year-old singer and the 45-year-old Canadian Prime Minister have been navigating a long-distance relationship since they began dating in 2025, after Katy’s split from ex-fiance Orlando Bloom.
A source tells People that the pair are committed to making it work despite the challenges.
“The priority for both of them is stability for the kids. Katy and Justin have had to be flexible to make the relationship work.
They travel whenever they can to spend time together. The long-distance dynamic was never a surprise to them,” the insider revealed.
The Roar singer, mum to five-year-old Daisy Dove, and Justin, who shares Xavier, 18, Ella-Grace, 17, and Hadrien, 12, with his estranged wife Sophie, “understood from the beginning that their lives were complicated and that it wouldn’t be the easiest relationship logistically.”
But the pair’s determination has impressed friends and family.
The source further added that the songstress was smitten with Justin from the start.
It wasn’t just a fleeting crush as she could see how genuinely interested he was in her.
It's worth noting that their relationship hasn’t been without its hurdles, from juggling busy schedules to managing long-distance demands, but their willingness to face these challenges head-on speaks volumes about the seriousness of their feelings for one another.
The duo have also been spotted together in Montreal, sparking rumours of a blossoming romance.
A previous insider claimed, “They are interested in each other, but it will take a while to see where this goes."
And it seems shared passions are part of the glue holding them together.
“Music is one of many things they can share,” the source added.
