Taylor Swift makes history with $2 billion music fortune

Taylor Swift has been crowned the top earning female musician in history.

According to Forbes’ Iconoclast 50 list, the pop icon has a reported net worth of $2 billion.

She is also recognized for her impact in music, including her decision to re-record early albums to reclaim her rights.

Her billionaire status was further boosted by the Eras Tour, which spanned 149 shows across 51 cities and five continents, becoming the highest-grossing concert tour ever with $2.2 billion in revenue.

In 2025, the Opalite hitmaker used her tour earnings to buy back her original masters, previously owned by music executive Scooter Braun, for an estimated $360 million, however, she now owns her full music catalogue.

Swift celebrated the milestone at the time, writing to fans, "All the times I was this close, reaching out for it, only for it to fall through." 

Moreover, she added, "I almost stopped thinking it could ever happen after 20 years of having the carrot dangled and then yanked away. That's all in the past now. I really get to say these words: All of the music I've ever made now belongs to me."
