Anna Kendrick is all set to step into director’s chair once again for Netflix’s new movie.
After the success of directorial debut, Woman of the Hour, the Hollywood star will direct the upcoming adaptation of Taylor Jenkins Reid’s best-selling novel, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, as per Deadline.
The movie, which is executive produced by Taylor and produced by Liza Chasin, Brad Mendelsohn and David, follows a “young journalist’s highly anticipated interaction with Evelyn Hugo, who is an ageing popular actress of her time”.
It is pertinent to note that the first draft of the script was written by Liz Tigelaar and Francesca Sloane revised it before finalising the script.
Interestingly, fans had expressed their excitement for the project and they even offered some suggestions for the role of Evelyn.
Some proposed Ana de Armas, Jessica Chastain and Eiza Gonzalez for the role because the protagonist is described as “a sultry and passionate Cuban-American actress” in the book.
However, Jessica clarified that she isn't attached to the project after the hype went big online.
Meanwhile, a release date has not been announced as of yet.
