Heated Rivalry has officially entered the list of series that are critically acclaimed as it earned a historic milestone.

The Hulu series, an ice-hockey romance, won hearts and was announced to be winning every category it was nominated at the Canadian Screen Awards.

The chemistry and story seemingly became fans’ favourite, helping it win in all 13 categories.

These include best direction, best screenplay, best supporting performance, best guest actress, best cinematography, best editing, best sound, best art direction and best costume design.

It was also crowned for having original score, best original song, best casting direction and best visual effects.

It appears that the show was considered perfect by the Academy members in every aspect. However, the online community seemingly do not agree with the win.

One of the X users was of the opinion: “This series is so bad… bad at least it’s wholesome,” adding that the award is “Canadian so it’d be impossible for them not to win.”

Is Heated Rivarly a hit show?

Another netizen pointed that there is not enough “variety of Canadian productions on the market,” while a third fan noted: “I love my series! They deserve soooo much.”

This came after Heated Rivalry sparked a competition with the newly released Off-Campus which is based on a romantic book series written by Elle Kennedy.
