Did Taylor Swift join 'Toy Story 5' cast? Truth revealed

Pixar has broken its silence on fan theories linking Taylor Swift to Toy Story 5 ahead of the film's release.

The rumours gained traction after the sequels billboard featuring the initials “TS” and Andy’s iconic cloud wallpaper appeared, prompting many fans to believe that the Lover hitmaker could be involved in the movie's end credits song.

During a recent interview with Khoslaa, director Andrew Stanton set the record straight.

“It surprised us,” he said during the interview. “We’d be frickin’ honored.”

Meanwhile, producer Lindsey Collins also reacted to the speculation, admitting that the Grammy winner’s involvement would have been welcome.

“The sad truth is, we watched the movie being mixed last week, done, and the song on the end of that was not Taylor Swift’s song,” Stanton added.

Despite not being part of the project, Pixar seemed to enjoy the online buzz by posting a clip of Jessie dancing in front of the billboard, captioned with lyrics from Swift’s hit track Shake It Off.

For the unversed, the Toy Story 5 is set to arrive in theaters on June 19, 2026.
