Dwayne Johnson gives shoutout to ‘Lizard Music’ debutant little star

Dwayne Johnson recently gave shoutout to the debutant little star Theo Clark Leber, who will appear in upcoming Lizard Music movie.

The wrestler turned actor, who was named The Rock in the wrestling world, is all set to appear in director Benny Safdie’s adaptation of the 1976 novel by Daniel Pinkwater for Amazon MGM Studios and United Artists.

Taking to Instagram on Thursday, Johnson posted a clip of the news published by the Deadline on July 20.

The Smashing Machine actor expressed his excitement for the 10-year-old boy, who will star opposite him in the upcoming movie.

Dishing out his true sentiments, Johnson wrote in the caption, “I can’t wait to work with this young man in our upcoming film, Benny Safdie’s Lizard Music.”

Reflecting on the casting process, the Jungle Cruise actor said that the process “was daunting, but I enjoyed every minute and was very impressed in our final audition”.

“I’m so happy for him and his family. Excited for you guys to see Theo take on this part and bring our story to life,” the 54-year-old explained.

Johnson added that he’s “very grateful and eager to take on this role and work again with my dear friend and artistic maestro, Benny”.

However, the Jumanji star shared major update about the movie, revealing, “Shooting begins next month.”

Johnson’s fans gave words of encouragement to Leber in the comment section.

One netizen remarked, “This sounds like a really nice movie Rock, excited to see you in the movie with Theo the young man, after the incredible Smashing Machine movie, really looking forward to seeing you work with Benny Safdie again.”

Another social media user stated, “I am so happy for that! And of course, for him. Go Theo!”
