Rosie O’Donnell is opening up about finding herself again after years of public clashes with President Donald Trump.

Speaking to People magazine, the comedian reflected on how her move to Ireland after Trump's 2024 reelection helped her heal from the impact of their long running feud.

She stated, "I am softer, I think, as a result of being there. Of the welcome that we got, and as a result of me not being constantly bombarded by news about the current president."

The 64-year-old comedian said she now feels less focused on public opinions, including Trump's views about her.

She continued, "It’s like a post-traumatic stress disorder for me, considering it’s been 20 years of him using me as a punchline."

Moreover, she added, "And so I think that has allowed me to reclaim myself, who I was before all that went down, even though it’s very strange to have supposedly the most powerful man in the world be your archnemesis."

Meanwhile, O’Donnell is preparing to return to the US for her one woman show Common Knowledge in New York.

She is also set to guest host Jimmy Kimmel Live! for one week in August while Jimmy Kimmel is away.
