Love Island has everything ready for a new season which also includes more drama and controversies just before it premieres.

The TV show made a shocking announcement that seemed related to the seventh instalment, making the headlines.

It was confirmed by PEOPLE magazine that a contestant has been expelled from the cast before the series premiere’s its eight season.

A 25-year-old businesswoman Vasana Montgomery will not be joining the rest of the cast on their journey due to the use of a racial slur.

Vasana talked highly about herself in one of the promo videos, calling herself the “full package,” explaining her type.

Her removal was confirmed after the star cast was revealed two days ago, making 11 members part of the villa.

Who is in Love Island season 8?

These include: Aniya Harvey, Beatriz Hatz, Bryce Dettloff, Gabriel Vasconcelos, KC Chandler, Kenzie Annis, Melanie Moreno, Sean Reifel, Sincere Rhea, Trinity Tatum and Zach Georgiou.

A similar controversy occurred last year when Yulissa Escobar was removed from the seventh instalment after severe backlash.
