'Obsession' takes worldwide viewers by surprise, 'one of the most profitable films'

The new 2026 thriller, Obsession, has surprised the audience as it became successful in a short period of time.

The new movie, which was released on May 15th, has sparked major buzz as it has been added to the list of "best horror movies of 2026."

Made by a 26-year-old youtuber, Curry Barker, with a different plot and an unexpected storyline, the movie has now achieved a major milestone.

Starring Inde Navarrette, Cooper Tomlinson, Megan Lawless, and Michael Johnston, the movie has garnered the title of "one of the most profitable films ever made".

It is to be noted that the microbudget of the newly released film was estimated between $750,000 and $1 million, and it has grossed over $148 million worldwide.

Reportedly, it was also revealed that the independent blockbuster is now eyeing a $250 million+ box office finish.

The story follows as the character, Bear, wishes on a supernatural novelty artifact to make his crush, Nikki, love him, and his wish gets fulfilled, but his crush turns into a psychotic partner, who'll go to extreme lengths to gain partner's attention and soon after, Bear discovers she has been possessed by a cosmic entity.

For the unversed, it has only been 17 days since the movie was released, but it has sparked major buzz among the theatergoers.
