Zendaya recently gets emotional as she bids adieu to Euphoria.

The actress, who won an Emmy award for Rue Bennett role in the first two seasons, has finally ended her seven-year journey as her character died in the season three finale.

Zendaya’s role could be seen taking pain pills that were filled with fentanyl, resulting in Rue’s death in season three's finale.

After the season’s three finale was premiered, a behind-the-scene video was released by HBO Max where the 29-year-old actress gave her farewell speech on her last day of filming the show.

“I just want to say thank you,” began the Challengers actress.

Zendaya said, “I am incredibly grateful for every single one of you and many of you have been here from the beginning and watched me grow up.”

In the end, she added, “It’s been such a pleasure and an honour,” as the actress thanked her crew and cast.

Elsewhere in the segment, creator Sam Levinson explained why they decided to kill Rue in the final season.

“Zendaya performance has been so wonderful and layered over the course of these seasons. We fell in love with this character — this girl who was flawed but has a good heart,” explained the show’s creator.

Sam explained, “I wanted to tell an honest story about addiction. I also wanted to tell a story about grief and the emotional turmoil that it can create.”

“The honest ending is that people like Rue don’t make it,” he stated.
