Jack Thorne, the creator of Adolescence, finally discusses the storyline of the second season, which is not based on “femosphere”.
Jack, who penned the series alongside leading actor Stephen Graham, speaks to Metro and shares that there would not be a second season focused on the Miller family – who were shown in the first season – because that story is now complete.
The creator of Netflix show says, “Any attempt to go back into it would weaken the story we’ve told already.”
Jack also addresses the follow-up regarding the femosphere, which is seen as the female equivalent of the manosphere – an online culture promoting masculinity and misogyny.
“I don’t think I’m the right writer for that, for very crucial reasons. But I look forward to someone doing a show about it,” explains Jack.
Meanwhile, Adolescence recently made history at the British Academy Television Awards on May 10.
Interestingly, the four-part Netflix show, which earned 11 nominations when it was announced in March, took home the Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress and Limited Drama as well as the Best Actor awards.
