Stanley Tucci is getting honest about the 21-year age difference between him and wife Felicity Blunt.
In a recent sit down, the Devil Wears Prada star admitted he had never imagined himself remarrying following the loss of his first wife, Kate Tucci, who died in 2009 after a battle with breast cancer.
Speaking on Jenna Bush Hager’s podcast Open Book, he stated, "Well, look, I never, I wasn't sure that I would ever remarry."
He continued, "I never thought I would have children again. And when I met her, it just sort of made sense even though there is this age gap of 21 years."
Moreover, he added, "And obviously, I knew her family, or I knew her sister was one of my best friends. And we just hit it off. We had a lot in common, even though we had nothing in common. And it just sort of stuck.
Additionally , he told the host that his better half has brought a deep sense of security to his life and his children’s lives, while also being a fun, positive, and intellectually curious presence.
In an earlier BBC interview, Tucci admitted he initially struggled with the relationship due to their age difference, but ultimately knew it was right.
