Blake Lively is moving ahead with her legal case against Justin Baldoni even after resolving claims with his production company over the It Ends With Us controversy.
The Gossip Girl alum is now seeking legal fees and additional damages from Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios after his $400 million defamation lawsuit against her was dismissed.
According to a new court filing, Lively’s legal team argued, “As the 'prevailing defendant,' Ms. Lively is entitled not just to attorneys’ fees and costs, but also to compensatory damages tripled, and punitive damages.”
The latest move comes after months of heated legal tension that began in December 2024, when Lively accused Baldoni of sexual harassment during production of the domestic violence-themed film.
While both sides settled remaining claims earlier this week, Lively’s attorneys said, “By agreeing to this settlement, and waiving their right to appeal, Justin Baldoni and every individual defendant now face personal liability for abusing the legal system to silence and intimidate Ms. Lively.”
Baldoni’s lawyer Bryan Freedman, however, pushed back, claiming Lively chose settlement because she knew she would not prevail.
The courtroom clash marks another chapter in the highly publicized fallout surrounding the $351 million box office hit.
