Will Smith’s lawsuit with bombshell accusations by Brian King Joseph has come to a swift end, with a clear victory for one the parties.
The America’s Got Talent violinist made claims that he was sexually harassed by the Men in Black actor when the duo was touring together.
A California judge has now ruled that the allegations don’t meet the legal threshold to move forward, and has dismissed the defendant, marking a clear cut victory for the Academy Award winner.
The reported incident occurred in 2025, and Joseph claimed that someone broke into his Las Vegas hotel room and left a note signed with what he said was an alias connected to Smith, along with other things such as wipes, beer, and HIV medications.
It was seemingly a part of a pattern designed to groom him for sexual activity, and the musician also claimed that he got fired after reporting the happenings to the management.
As per TMZ, the judge found the conduct described in the filing simply wasn’t severe or consistent enough to qualify as sexual harassment under California law.
Notably, Joseph lacked evidence in proving that it was definitively Smith and not someone else from his management that had accessed the room he was staying in.
