Billie Eilish has fired back at critics after her outspoken stance on eating meat sparked intense online backlash.
The singer and songwriter posted a passionate series of Instagram Stories on Thursday, May 7, standing firmly behind her remarks.
Sharing documentary clips and footage showing alleged abuse in the meat and dairy industries, the bad guy hitmaker bluntly wrote,
"I really don’t give a goddamn f**k” about the criticism."
“Go watch a documentary or two and some footage of what is done to the animals u claim to love and what it does to the planet u pretend to love as well,” she continued. “if that footage was hard for u to watch i encourage u to pls take a look at urself.”
The outspoken vegan advocate said she is “so tired” of empathy for living beings being treated as something controversial.
She went further, accusing critics of living in “a constant state of cognitive dissonance and denial.”
Her comments follow her April 28 interview with Elle, where she declared by stating that loving animals and consuming meat are two things that simply do not go together.
Meanwhile, Eilish is also making headlines for her concert film Hit Me Hard and Soft The Tour set for release on May 8.
