D4vd has been publicly removed by the highly popular fast-paced third-person battle royale shooter game Fortnite, which also often has pop culture crossovers.
The Romantic Homicide singer has recently been charged with the murder of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez, which is why the game has decided to cut ties with him.
In a statement on X, the game’s official account addressed the issue that the game was still offering items related to the 21-year-old disgraced rapper.
The game’s social media page read, “We hear the concerns. We have a bunch of changes we’re rolling out over time. The first one will be available on Tuesday April 28th, when anyone who purchased one of these items will be able to get an immediate self-service refund.”
They added, “And, right now, players who request refunds for D4vd cosmetics via player support can be refunded.”
The musician, whose real name is David Anthony Burke was a big fan of Fortnite and would often live stream himself playing the game, even creating its first official theme song Locked and Loaded.
Notably, David had stated last year that the game is a big part of his life and is what lead him to make music.
