Blake Lively speaks out after judge dismisses majority of Justin Baldoni lawsuit claims

Blake Lively has broken her silence after a judge dismissed the majority of her claims in her ongoing legal battle with It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni, describing the experience as “unfathomably painful.”

In a recent statement, Lively reflected on the emotional toll of the case after a federal judge threw out 10 of her 13 claims, including allegations of sexual harassment, defamation and conspiracy.

Despite the setback, three claims, breach of contract, retaliation and aiding and abetting retaliation, will still move forward, with a trial currently scheduled for May 2026.

According to Page Six, Lively emphasized that, while the ruling was difficult, she remains determined to pursue the case and have her story heard in court. 

Moreover, she also spoke about the broader implications of the dispute, highlighting concerns around “digital violence” and the challenges faced by individuals who speak out against powerful figures in the industry.

Her legal team has argued that the dismissal of certain claims was based on technical legal grounds, particularly her status as an independent contractor, rather than a judgment on the truth of her allegations.

Baldoni has denied all accusations and previously filed a countersuit seeking $400 million in damages, which was later dismissed.

Furthermore, the high-profile case, which stems from alleged on-set issues during the filming of It Ends With Us, has drawn widespread attention in Hollywood.
