Blake Lively has finally spoken up about the shocking turn in her sexual harassment case against co-star and director Justin Baldoni.
The 38-year-old’s lawyer called out those who are celebrating early, including the attorney of Justin Baldoni in an official statement shared on her Instagram.
Mike Gottlieb clarified that the Gossip Girls alum’s allegations could not go to trial because of “legal issues rather than an endorsement of the defendant’s conduct.”
It required Blake to “sign a contract, that she is an independent contractor.” Moreover, it was held that the situation unfolded in New Jersey instead of California.
The Hollywood A-list star’s case is confirmed to be going to trial next month on May 18 as the court is moving forward with the lawsuit after finding sufficient evidence.
According to the court’s ruling, there is “some direct evidence” that indicates the Another Simple Favor actress faced a smear campaign to damage her reputation.
To support her claims, the star submitted “expert reports” on being a victim to “an online campign to manipulate public opinion."
Moreover, the Wayfarer Parties most likely constructed a “hostile work environment” and sexually harassed her.
This seems to be shutting down statements from media persons, including Candace Ownens and public who believed that the court tossed all of her claims in the case brought forward by her.
