Alex Duong has left his family and followers heartbroken after passing away at 42, a year after he revealed his battle with cancer.
The comedian’s friend, Hilarie Steele announced his death via GoFundMe on March 28th, detailing his final days.
It noted that the Blue Bloods actor had passed that morning surrounded by friends and family, after he went into septic shock the day before.
Hilarie wrote that Alex was comfortable and out of pain, and his wife Christina, and 5-year-old daughter, Everest, were able to say their goodbyes to him.
“He was alert enough to say goodbye to his little girl, whom he has treasured every moment since the day she was born,” the GoFundMe read, which was put up to help cover the late actor’s memorial service and his daughter’s future needs in terms of education and daily support.
“We are devastated, but so grateful for the support, prayers and generosity you have all shown during this unimaginable time. Your continued support now means everything as Christina and Everest navigate the days ahead and to arrange a beautiful celebration of his life,” Hilarie wrote.
Notably, Alex had been candid about his diagnosis with alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive cancer affecting soft tissue, which he revealed in early 2025.
