Kim Novak voices concerns over Sydney Sweeney’s casting in 'Scandalous!'

Sydney Sweeney has recently been slammed by legendary actress Kim Novak for her casting in Scandalous! movie.

The Euphoria star is set to play Kim in Colman Domingo’s directorial debut, which is all about the 1957 love affair between the Vertigo actress and Sammy Davis Jr.

It is pertinent to mention that the movie’s filming seems to have delayed for some reason.

While speaking to The Times of London, Kim expresses her worries because the movie will focus on the sexual side of the relationship.

“There’s no way it wouldn’t be a sexual relationship because Sydney looks sexy all the time,” says the 93-year-old.

However, Kim tells the outlet, “Sydney was totally wrong to play me.”

According to the silver screen icon, the Anyone But You actress “sticks out so much above the waist”.

Therefore, Kim adds, “I would never have approved.”

Meanwhile, Sydney previously revealed that she was eager to meet Kim ahead of the movie shoot.

“I’m incredibly honoured to be bringing Kim to life. I mean, she is such an amazing actress,” she told PEOPLE magazine.

The Madame Web actress noted that Kim’s story is “still very relevant today” because of her dealing with Hollywood and scrutiny as well as control of her image in the public eye.

Interestingly, Sydney “relates to it in a lot of different ways”.

The actress further mentioned that once she's done with Euphoria, she would switch into Scandalous! gear.

“I’m going to turn my brain into Kim. I’m so excited,” remarked Sydney.
