Harry Potter TV series eyes high-speed innovation for Quidditch scenes.

Quidditch is a fictional sport in the wizarding world played on flying broomsticks.

As per The Sun, the broomsticks ridden by Dominic McLaughlin and his co-stars will have front-mounted cameras like those on F1 cars.

Some of the brooms are attached to a giant mechanical arm, while others are on wires.

A source said, "In the books, Quidditch is brutal and producers wanted to give it more of a rough and ready feel."

Fans will also get to see Snape, played by Paapa Essiedu, referee one Hogwarts match which was axed from 2001 film The Philosopher’s Stone.

State-of-the-art CGI techniques will be added later to transform filming locations, including the Ashridge Estate in Hertfordshire, into realistic wizarding backdrops.

The show is written by Gardiner, with Mark Mylod directing multiple episodes. Every series will adapt each of J.K. Rowling’s seven books across seven seasons over the course of a decade.

The series starring Dominic McLaughlin as the titular hero, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley.

Harry Potter season one is slated for release on Christmas.
