Harry Potter upcoming TV series has dropped its first trailer.

The beloved JK Rowling novel series, which got rebooted by HBO Max, revealed its first look at the journey to Hogwarts.

The series starring Dominic McLaughlin as the titular hero, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley, showed Potter dealing with his abusive uncle and aunt, Bel Powley as Petunia Dursley and Daniel Rigby as Vernon Dursely.

He is then seen receiving the Hogwarts letter and beginning his wizard journey from iconic 9 3/4 platform, along with meeting Hermione and Ron.

Following the release of the trailer, fans turned up to social media to share their thoughts on the new era of their beloved wizarding world.

A fan on X wrote, "I feel like I’m 10-year-old again now [crying emojis]."

One viewer noticed the difference in colour gradient between the original and reboot, saying, "Why is the new Harry Potter so dark? Where’s the whimsical color?"

"I’ve already cried 3 times watching this Harry Potter trailer," wrote one emotional fan.

Another echoed the sentiment, adding, "I cried like a child when I saw the trailer, seeing my childhood and adolescence reflected in every image."

In addition to McLaughing, Stanton, Stout, Powley and Rigby, Albus Dumbledore (John Lithgow), Severus Snape (Paapa Essiedu) and Minerva McGonagall (Janet McTeer) were also seen in the trailer.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone is slated to release on HBO Max on this year’s Christmas.
