James Marsden has recently shared his honest thoughts on upcoming Avengers: Doomsday.
The 27 Dresses actor, who reprises his role as Cyclops in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, reflected on positive side during an appearance on latest episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! Show.
While speaking of the costume difference, James said, “The first movies, we were just in black leather… they were very tight, very restrictive. We couldn’t move.”
While filming the first X-Men movie, the Enchanted actor recalled, “Hugh Jackman and I had to jump over a little retaining wall outside the Statue of Liberty, and we both were tripping over it.”
James mentioned that they would get “fired” and didn’t “feel like a superhero” in those costumes.
Addressing the new costume for the upcoming Marvel movie, the Notebook actor added, “To put this on felt very cool … felt very proud.”
However, the downside of his role as Cyclops is that James could see through the visor, “leaving him with limited visibility”.
For those unversed, James first played Scott Summers (Cyclops) in 2000’s X-Men and reprised his role in 2003’s X2 and 2006’s X-Men: The Last Stand.
This time, the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday will introduce the X-Men to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as all the characters now live under the Disney umbrella notably after Disney’s 2019 acquisition of 21st Century Fox.
