Paige Spara, best known for her role in the hit medical drama The Good Doctor, has revealed the extent of the horrific facial injuries she suffered during a dog attack more than a year ago.
The 36-year-old star shared details of the incident through Instagram Stories, posting a recent selfie alongside an image taken shortly after the attack.
In her update, Spara said the bite had severely damaged parts of her face, explaining that the dog “took my cheek and upper lip out.”
The actress revealed that despite the severity of the wounds, her face has now largely healed.
In the more recent photo, Spara appeared smiling with little visible scarring, expressing gratitude for her recovery after months of healing.
According to People, she also shared a graphic image from the aftermath of the attack, which showed stitches and deep gashes across her upper lip and beneath one eye.
Moreover, the injuries required medical treatment and left noticeable marks on her face at the time.
Although Spara did not disclose when or where the attack occurred, she described the experience as a frightening moment in her life.
Despite the ordeal, the actress continues to post photos with dogs on social media, suggesting the incident has not affected her love for animals.
Spara rose to prominence for her portrayal of Lea Dilallo, the neighbor-turned-wife of Dr. Shaun Murphy, played by Freddie Highmore, in the long-running ABC series.
The show aired from 2017 until its conclusion in 2024 after seven successful seasons.
