Ryan Gosling, Eva Mendes reunite onscreen for special occasion

Ryan Gosling is currently promoting his upcoming film Project Hail Mary, and during one of his appearances, has been joined by Eva Mendes.

The Barbie star’s partner likely showed up to mark her support for the occasion, but the actor took it as an opportunity to surprise her for her 52nd birthday.

During the conversation with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the 45-year-old asked the audience is they would sing and wish her for the joyous celebration.

"Here's the thing, you might find me in the Hudson River tomorrow,” Ryan joked as a staff member went to get Eva from backstage.

The Ghost Rider actress was dressed casually, sporting a blue and white striped cardigan, recently donned by the Golden Globe-winning actor.

She paired it with a black and white T-shirt featuring the cover of John Lennon and Yoko Ono's 1980 album Double Fantasy and wide leg jeans.

Eva humbly asked Jimmy if they would cut all of it out, to which the host said no and then revealed that band directors from New Jersey's North Bergen High School were in the audience.

The school's marching band then played "Happy Birthday" for her with a flag that also read the celebratory cheer.
