Jesy Nelson opens up on “awkward” final Little Mix call after a mental health scare.
The 34-year-old singer, who attempted to take her own life, revealed she shared one last phone call with her bandmates after quitting the group.
She admitted that she had to leave Little Mix but was heartbroken that her lawyer broke the news to Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and Jade Thirlwall before she could speak to them herself.
“I feel mad that that was taken away from me,” Jesy confessed in her Amazon Prime documentary, Jesy Nelson: Life After Little Mix.
“I wanted to sit down with the girls, explain why I couldn’t do this anymore and how I’d been feeling.
Then my manager called and said they wouldn’t be in the room with me unless a therapist was there. I’d just come out of hospital – I needed them the most.”
The Secret Love Song singer admitted the phone call with the band felt “like talking to strangers” and was the last time she spoke to them as a group.
However, the former singer revealed the trio did reach out when she was pregnant.
For the unversed, Jesy and her ex, Zion Foster, welcomed daughters Ocean Jade and Story Monroe in May 2025.
“It made me really emotional. We’re grown women now, we’ve got kids, and there are more important things in life,” she said.
Despite the drama, she insists she has “no regrets” about her time on The X Factor and, with Little Mix, it ultimately led to her “two beautiful girls.”
