Gary Numan’s wife shares emotional new health update

Gary Numan has been hailed a real-life hero after his wife Gemma was left paralysed after a devastating spinal operation.

Gemma bravely revealed she underwent surgery on her cervical spine on December 11, but woke to the terrifying news that her left arm was “paralysed straight away”.

The heartbreaking complication has left her unable to move parts of her shoulder and upper arm

Though she’s slowly regaining some movement in her lower arm and biceps through intense physiotherapy.

Despite the trauma, she has kept her fighting spirit. 

She even bought herself a small travel painting kit to lift her mood, only to break down in tears when she realised she couldn’t use it properly because she’s left-handed. 

Determined not to give up, she tried adapting her technique, admitting the results were far from perfect.

Throughout the ordeal, the rocker has barely left her side. 

Gemma gushed that the singer has put everything on hold to care for her, joking he’s now “behind on all things Numan” because of her recovery.

The couple now face another emotional hurdle, with Gary due to perform on The 80s Cruise later this month. 

Gemma confessed she’ll be “really sad” without him at home.

The health scare comes just months after the 67-year-old singer was left heartbroken by the sudden death of his brother John.
