Britney Spears was expected to make a comeback to music after she denied performing in the United States ever again.

The 44-year-old singer shocked the world by reportedly selling 100% rights of her music to Primary Wave on December 30.

According to a report, the iconic discography was priced at around $200 million (£146m) which covers her hit tracks including ...Baby One More Time, Oops!…I Did It Again and Gimme More.

Although the singer is yet to speak for herself, the musician saddened fans as they call it an end to an iconic chapter.

One of the X users was of the opinion that the pop icon is “never returning to music, but I’m at peace knowing she leaves behind an [irreplaceable] legacy in pop culture.”

Another admitted that the singer “has retired” and has officially cut ties with “the industry.”

They noted, "Retaining the ownership of her works meant “she still had to prove and promote any releases.”

The Grammy winner has been posting random updates about her life and past struggles that she had to face while living with her family.

She admitted feeling “lucky to be alive” after going through a lot while residing with her family.

Moreover, Britney dished on returning back to stage in the United Kingdom and Australia, however, she declared never putting up a show in the US ever again.
