Christopher Nolan joined Timothee Chalamet at the pre-screening of critically acclaimed Interstellar in IMAX 70mm.
The 55-year-old became part of the live event, "An American Cinematheque Retrospective," which celebrates the projects like Marty Supreme.
After the sporty film is on its way to become A2’s highest-grossing film, Timothee raised a question at the event for Christopher to answer.
The 30-year-old jokingly asked the director his first question, “How insanely is my career going… is it amazing?”
The comment sparked a reaction from the crowd and the director as they laughed at the pun.
However, the Wonka star clarified he was just “kidding” before proceeding with another query about the 2014 sci-fi’s plot.
The star recalled the monologue by the lead who talks about “destiny” and how one struggles for it, asking what went behind the scenes of the cut.
He also wondered if Interstellar is “as much as story about the limits of human ambition as is a father-daughter story.”
The filmmaker was dumbfound as he stated “wow” before answering the long query.
After two successful parts, Timothee is all set to return as Paul Atreides in the new Dune 3 which will be releasing on December 18, 2026.
A Complete Unknown star recently won Golden Globes where he gushed about his partner Kylie Jenner during award acceptance speech.
He is now eyeing Oscars with three nominations this year.
