Jason Derulo is pressing pause on the version of himself fans have known for more than a decade.

The 36-year-old hitmaker, who burst onto the scene with his debut album in 2010, has revealed that his upcoming Last Dance Tour will mark the end of an era.

Speaking to The Sun, Jason described the tour as his “last bow”, admitting he’s ready to retire the Jason Derulo audiences have grown up with.

“It’s the curtain call for the Jason that you’ve always known,” he said.

“But it’s a celebration of the past and an introduction to what is to come.”

According to the Talk Dirty singer, this isn’t about quitting music as it’s about transformation.

Notably, one version of Jason is stepping aside so a new one can take centre stage.

The Ridin’ Solo star says he’s changed massively over the past ten years, and his music is evolving right along with him.

While the first part of the tour will lean heavily into nostalgia, packed with familiar sounds and throwback moments, fans should brace themselves for a dramatic shift down the line.

“I want to do something completely different,” he teased.

Away from the spotlight, the crooner admits his lowest moments have fuelled his hunger for self-improvement.

The dad-of-one, who shares a four-year-old son with ex Jena Frumes, says setbacks have pushed him to work harder than ever.
