John Mellencamp makes bombshell announcement about upcoming tour

John Mellencamp made a shocking announcement about his upcoming tour, Dancing Words Tour- The Greatest Hits.

The Hurts So Good singer is set to embark on his tour across 19 United States cities.

The 74-year-old singer announced that he will perform all his hits in one night for the first time, including several live debuts.

Fans can expect , Pink Houses, Jack and Diane, Small Town, Authority Song and Key West Intermezzo (I Saw You First), to be performed the for the first time.

He will also perform songs he hasn’t sang live in a decade, such as, R.O.C.K in the U.S.A, I Need a Lover, Wild Nights, and Ain’t Even Done With the Night.

The announcement of the musical journey came with a trailer featuring the singer alongside actor Sean Penn.

In the trailer, Penn is heard saying, "God forbid you become generous with your hits and the soundtrack of people's lives."

Mallencamp’s music career spans over five decades. He is member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the songwriters Hall of Fame. 

He has won the John Steinbeck Award, ASCAP Foundation’s Champion Award, Woody Guthrie Award, AMA’s Lifetime Achievement Award and few more.

Dancing Words Tour – The Greatest Hits will kick off on July 10 at the brand-new Acrisure Amphitheater in Grand Rapids, Michigan and will wrap up on August 12 at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California.
