Halsey praises Olivia Rodrigo on her surprise Coachella performance

Olivia Rodrigo stepped out to perform with Addison Rae at Coachella, surprising the fans with Drop Dead debut.

While she was performing, Halsey was also one of the attendees in the crowd.

Following the performance, the 31-year-old then took to her Instagram account sharing a video of Vampire singer’s performance and wrote, “favourite girl” over it.

The Bad at Love songstress have been supportive of Rodrigo, 23, since the beginning of her career - from celebrating the success of her debut song to attending professional events together.

At the stage, Rae traded lines with Rodrigo on the song’s verses, while both pop stars jumped around the stage to hype the crowd up for the song.

The track is the first single to be released from Rodrigo’s upcoming third album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love.

It was released on Friday, with the music video filmed in Palace of Versailles.

Previously, in an interview with the British Vogue, discussing about her album, Rodrigo said, “I realized all my favourite romantic love songs were beautiful because they had a tinge of fear or yearning in them.”

She also revealed the collection is full of “sad love songs.”

You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love is set release on June 12.
