'Bridgerton' season four faces major setback ahead of official release

The hit Regency period drama Bridgerton, that has been gearing up for the release of its much anticipated fourth season, faced a huge misfortune.

The upcoming season based on Julia Quinn’s third novel, An Offer from a Gentleman, will see Cinderella-like love story of Luke Thomas (Benedict Bridgerton) and Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha).

Following its premiere in Paris, led by Thomas and Baek, several clips of the series were leaked online revealing key moments from the show's first episode.

The dropped clips are allegedly were released by Netflix India, as per X (formerly Twitter) AI.

The viral videos include scenes like, Eloise Bridergton (Claudia Jessie) returning from Scotland to the Bridgerton house, the ball scene, Sophie's first look in the silver dress, the lead character's first meeting, their dance and their first kiss.

Fans on X were angry on getting spoilers beforehand sharing that it ruined the season for them.

"I’m already seeing leaks for Bridgerton season 4! WTF," wrote one.

"Can people NOT spread leaks of Bridgerton season’s 4? it is really thaaat difficult to wait a few more weeks??? stop spreading leaks, don’t ruin it for others," one more said.

According to News Bytes, despite the leaks and spoilers going viral on internet, the excitement for the new season is still over the moon.

Its promotional tour will go on for two-weeks straight and the fourth season will also reportedly set stage for romance between Eloise and Sir Phillip Crane (Chris Fulton), who are likely to be paired in season five.

Bridgerton season four volume one is slated for release on January 29, meanwhile, its volume will premiere on February 26.
