Stranger Things creators have been under heavy scrutiny after the finale released, leaving fans feeling disappointed and unfulfilled.

The Duffer Brothers were called out for an incomplete ending, having several plot holes and missing storylines.

However, a new wave of criticism is said to be targeting their script writing, which was initially called weak, after documentary released.

The Making of Stranger Things 5 was closely analysed by the fans as they alleged to pin point Chat GPT tabs open on the laptop of the writer.

One of the X users was of the opinion that the “second half especially” feels like artificially generated while another pointed out: “I mean…….that explains a ton!”

The theory of the Duffer Brothers using AI has been widely discussed before the documentary released on January 12, 2026.

According to the fandom, there were many mistakes with one being Demogorgons missing from the Abyss or dimension X.

Others pointed out how Dustin’s girlfriend was missing from the last instalment. The online community began theorising about a possible Episode 9 or a Conformity gate.

A chaos erupted online with the admirers trying to connect the dots and make sense of the storyline.
