Tom Holland speaks out after Tom Cruise’s Hollywood revival comment

Tom Holland is known for taking bold stances in his career choices, be it willingness to take risks or his dedication to authenticity in his professional and personal life.

Given his nature, the English actor recently didn’t hold back after Tom Cruise claimed that he’s the one who played a major role in reviving Hollywood during COVID days with his movie, Mission: Impossible 7.

Holland reminded everything in his interview with Total Film that his 2022 movie, Uncharted was already on set months earlier, featuring Mark Wahlberg as Victor Sullivan and Antonio Banderas as Moncada in the blockbuster movie.

Speaking of his movie, the Spider-Man actor said that he “really believe in the project. I believe in the work we’ve done. I’m very proud of how hard everyone worked”.

“We also made this film at the height of COVID. I know Cruise loves to say that he brought the film industry back, but he forgot about this little film called Uncharted that was shooting four months before he was,” explained the 29-year-old.

Interestingly, Holland went on saying that he’s “very proud of what we’ve done. And if we were lucky enough to do it again, it would be really exciting”.

The comments came after Cruise told Empire that he started working on Mission: Impossible 7 because he was responsible for thousands of jobs.

Meanwhile, the Top Gun actor encouraged cinemas back in COVID days and even urged for safety protocols as well as for paid workers, 

Consequently, all of this helped theatres survive amid trying times.
