Disney’s live-action remake of Tangled was a highly anticipated affair, and after much buzz around the casting the main characters of the film have officially been taken by two actors.

The entertainment conglomerate took to their social media to make the announcement and the lead roles are relatively fresh faces.

As per the mass media company, “Teagan Croft and Milo Manheim are Rapunzel and Flynn Rider in the live-action reimagining of Disney's Tangled.”

The movie has the potential to catapult the duo’s film and acting careers to new heights since the animated version of the movie is already quite beloved and a cult classic.

Teagan who is an Australian actress had her most notable role as Raven in the DC series Titans before being tied to the upcoming project.

Meanwhile Milo’s has starred as Zed in the four Zombies films, and is familiar with musical theatre after playing Seymour in a revival of Little Shop of Horrors.

Internet users appear to be largely pleased by the casting, as they flocked social media to dish their opinions on the casting.

“I'm really looking forward to their performance in the movie,” one netizen wrote on X, as another added, “wait why does this casting actually kinda eat.”

Why is Tangled not called Rapunzel?

Tangled is not called Rapunzel because she is not the only main character in the film.
