The Santa Tell Me singer reportedly has the most monthly listeners for any artist on Spotify worldwide, with 123.8 million loyal listeners.

Since the update has made rounds on the internet, netizens are split between celebrating the God Is A Woman hit maker’s achievement and questioning it.

Several internet users have compared the numbers and impressive streaming achievement of hers to her peers, most noticeably to Taylor’s numbers adding that her fans must be upset at the news.

“Where is showpiece Taylor?” one netizen wrote on X (formerly Twitter) while another wrote, “Taylor Swift be like:” with an image of Britt Lower screaming in still from Severance.

“Why Taylor's fans hating on Ariana?” a third internet user remarked while a fourth commented, “She did it without releasing 988761118 versions,” referring to the extensive amount of variants released by Taylor for The Life of a Showgirl.

Notably, Ariana released her seventh studio album Eternal Sunshine in 2024, and is set to embark on a tour for the album in June of next year.
